The destination№ 01 — South Corsica

Minutes from the island's most beautiful beaches, Villa Terra still keeps its distance: the calm of the maquis by day, the shimmer of the coast in the distance at night. The best of both.

Frequently asked questions

The place, in practice

Where exactly is the villa?

On the heights of Lecci (20137), southern Corsica, near the Torraccia estate, some twelve kilometres north of Porto-Vecchio. The commune borders the gulf of Saint-Cyprien and the northern shore of the gulf of Porto-Vecchio.

Which beaches are closest?

Saint-Cyprien and Cala Rossa ten minutes away, both in the commune of Lecci. Santa Giulia at fifteen, Palombaggia at twenty, Pinarellu twenty minutes to the north.

Do we need a car?

Yes, to move around. The villa is up on the heights, away from shops: beaches, Porto-Vecchio and the interior are reached by car. The concierge arranges transfers from Figari (€480) and can book hire cars.

When is the best time to come?

May, June, September and early October for the climate, the quiet and low or mid-season rates. July and August bring the high-season atmosphere, at twice the budget and with beaches saturated between eleven and five.

How do you reach the villa from the mainland?

Via Figari–Sud-Corse (FSC) airport, thirty-five minutes away, serving Marseille, Nice and Paris-Orly year-round and around thirty destinations in season. Ajaccio is about two hours; the port of Porto-Vecchio some twenty minutes.

What is there to do inland?

The Ospedale forest and its waterfalls, the Bavella needles for walkers, and the Torraccia estate — immediate neighbour of the villa — for a tasting under the Corse Porto-Vecchio appellation.
