Corporate retreat in Corsica: several days in a villa taken entirely privately, workshops in the morning, team time in the afternoon.
Several days to bring a team together: workshops in the morning, maquis in the afternoon, the grand table at night.
Coach, facilitator or speaker in residence: the villa houses those who run the sessions too.
Short sessions in the morning, free time after, dinner together: the format that works.
5,300 m² of maquis, pool and gym: cohesion happens outdoors as much as in the room.
Private chef, housekeeping, transfers: nobody on the team spends the week organising.
No hotel lobby, no other groups, no interruptions. The team is genuinely elsewhere.
Shared breakfasts, dinners at the same table, evenings at the club: that is where teams bond.
One contact sets the programme, the meals and the travel.
Arrival is from four in the afternoon. Dinner together, no agenda. It is the most useful evening of the week: the one where the team reconnects before the working frame sets in.
Three to four hours of workshop in the morning, while attention is available. In the afternoon, the sea, the maquis or the gym. In the evening, the table. That rhythm produces more than a ten-hour day in a meeting room.
The last morning is for writing, not discussing: decisions, owners, deadlines. The rest of the week counts for nothing if nobody leaves with a document.
A team crossing a hotel lobby is still a team on a business trip. A team that has a house to itself, cooks, crosses paths at the pool and dines around one table stops behaving as it does at the office. That is the whole difference.
Five bedrooms, fourteen beds. The service studio takes a chef or a facilitator. Beyond that, part of the group has to sleep elsewhere, and the retreat loses precisely what justified it.
Seven nights in low season: €11,987 for fourteen people, accommodation complete. Meals are added — a private chef at €1,900 for the week often costs less than fourteen covers in a restaurant twice a day.
Duration and rhythm. A seminar fits into one or two working days; a retreat runs over several days, with working mornings, open afternoons and evenings around the table. That long format is what produces cohesion — and it is where a private villa beats a hotel meeting room.
14 people with accommodation in five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The service studio can house a chef or a resident facilitator. For daytime workshops without accommodation the capacity is higher and is set with the concierge.
May, June, September and early October. The weather is favourable, the island is quiet, flights to Figari are plentiful, and rates are low and mid season — €10,906 to €12,208 a week against €20,505 in August. August heat is a genuine handicap for working days.
Yes, and it is common. The concierge arranges their accommodation — on site in the service studio, or nearby — along with transfers from Figari. The cinema room serves as the session room.
À la carte. A private chef (€1,900 for the week) takes charge of the group's table, which removes the drive to a restaurant and the two hours lost at every sitting. Grocery delivery and table service can be added on request.
The property alone will occupy a group: pool, gym, private club, 5,300 m² of maquis. Beyond that the sea is ten minutes away, and the concierge arranges a boat outing, a walk at Bavella or a tasting at the Torraccia estate next door.
